12 days later and issue is not resolved. City of Warren must understand that the ENTIRE city impacts a person's impression of it. City does not put resources into south part of city, only in north part, but people come to realize that all of the city is trashed. Lowers home values (even more than they are) -- resulting in lower city taxes -- and encourages abandonment and flight throughout ALL of city. This isn't rocket science, City of Warren. Take care of ALL of the city before ALL of the city flees.

"Unduly"? The volume of residential traffic doesn't tell the story. Those using the intersection daily include residents, Church attendees and families with 500+ school age children at St. Anne's School. We structure our travels to the traffic exiting the school on Arden on weekdays and the Church on weekends. The buses use Exeter onto Mound and the families use Arden. If not for the lights, there would NOT be a safe way to safely exit or enter Arden (and the speeders run the light frequently). We walk and ride bikes to the Warren Community Center across the road on Arden. We were already inconvenienced when they eliminated left turns in either direction - we have to drive 1/4 mile to use medians for our turns. During peak hours, we CAN'T even get across Mound because cars heading North are blocking the intersection. Mound is a divided highway and whipping traffic at 50 MPH with the apartments SO CLOSE to the road ( especially Sharon Ann apartments on the corner) is a concern. The slowing of traffic is a GOOD thing for the lead-footers heading north and south RUSHING to I-696 and M-59. If you're sitting at the intersection and do not see crossing traffic, use some common sense and realize that the light is there for a reason. It may just be a HIGHWAY to some, but it's our HOME. If you want a PLANNED fast road, use Van Dyke. The REAL problem is the timing of the light heading North at FOURTEEN MILE - that's why there is a back-up at Arden. It's been like that for decades.

so how many more years do we tax payers have to wait before this issue is solved?
